As a dancer and netballer for many years, Liz knows first-hand how important physiotherapy can be. After multiple knee dislocations she “wishes she had listened to her physio about the importance of rehabilitation”. This sparked Liz’s physiotherapy interest initially into sport physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation. Strength training and weightlifting in the gym gave her an insight into pelvic floor weakness and overactivity and led her to focus specifically on pelvic floor physiotherapy. Liz treats her patients with a holistic approach, incorporating education, manual therapy, and exercise rehabilitation.
She loves that our generation is starting to have open discussions on incontinence, prolapse and sexual pain, normalising these previously taboo topics and feels privileged that through physiotherapy she can help many patients reach their physical and functional health goals.
Hailing from New Zealand, we have embraced Liz’s as one of our own and she now happily calls Australia home.
When not in our clinic this multi-tasking mum of two young children enjoys spending time with her family or can be found teaching Kanga Training instructors about Anatomy. (Kanga training provides fun and social exercise and workouts classes to pregnant and new mums throughout Australia.)
Liz has a special interest in treating complex pelvic floor cases, Pregnancy and Post Natal conditions, Pelvic Girdle pain, coccyx, pubic symphysis and sacroiliac joint pain, Dry Needling and is trained in Pessary Fitting.
